Go to Trader Joe’s. They have a wine right now called Seven Peaks. It is a winery that was in San Luis Obispo but went out of business. Scott and I used to buy the wine at the tasting room for $20.00 a bottle…but Trader Joe’s bought their inventory and are now selling it for $2.99 a bottle. Also, don’t forget that the average person will drink 3 to 5 drinks at a party that lasts 3 to 4 hours. The average bottle of wine yields 4 servings, the average bottle of champagne will yield 6 champagne flutes full, a half barrel keg yields 15.5 gallons of beer which is the equivelent to 200 ten ounce cups of beer. Isn’t it fun planning a big party????? Sorry, I was feeling the need to share the “useless” information I had to use when planning our party. I feel better now that I got to share it with someone!

Wine for 40 people on the cheap? I have two words for you: Mad Dog. Sure, the antifreeze taste is a little tough to get used to at first, but everyone will have a jolly old time once they get buzzed. Which will be quick, since it’s 46 proof. Be sure to have some valium on hand, in case anyone comes down with hysterical blindness. (Real blindness almost never happens.)
